How far in advance should I schedule the transport of my vehicle?
We suggest at least 2 weeks prior to pick-up date for national shipping (within the continental U.S.) and at least 4 weeks prior for Canada to ensure that your vehicle is moved within the time frame which best fits your schedule. If an immediate or expedited pick up is necessary, we can arrange for your vehicle to be picked up ASAP for an additional fee.

Which methods of payment does Movilm Transport accept?
We accept most major credit cards - (Mastercard and Visa), money orders and cashier's checks (for advanced deposits only)

How long will it take to transport my vehicle?
There are two major factors involved in determining how long your vehicle will take to arrive. First and foremost is the total distance between origin and destination. The second most important contributing factor is how many other vehicles are included with your shipment and in what order they are loaded on and off of the carrier. For example, it only takes a truck approximately 5 days to travel from New York to Los Angeles. If your vehicle is the last one to be picked up in New York and the first one to be delivered in Los Angeles, transit time will be minimal. If, however, you are the first vehicle the carrier picks up in New York and your are the last vehicle delivered in the Los Angeles area, then transit time will be the maximum for that shipment. Please keep these factors in mind when considering the transport of your vehicle. In other words, a measure of flexibility is required on the part of the shipper for both pick-up and delivery. As a result of these factors, carriers appreciate at least a three-day window for pick-up and delivery. Additional factors including weather conditons, road conditions, , traffic and seasonal fluctuations also may have an effect on your vehicle's transit time.

What kind of truck or carrier will my vehicle be shipped on?
You choose between an open or enclosed carrier. An open carrier is less expensive, however your vehicle is subject to weather and road conditions such as temperature and dust. An enclosed carrier is highly recommended when shipping a luxury or custom vehicle. It is more expensive, however it does safeguard your vehicle from the elements and other factors.

What is an oversize fee?
Some vehicles are much larger than traditional passenger vehicles. Most full size SUVs fit into this category. Because of their dimensions, these vehicles take up the amount of space normally used for two vehicles, thus resulting in the need for special preparations and additional charges.

In addition, your owner's insurance remains in full effect throughout the shipping process. (That's twice the protection for you!)

Where will my vehicle be picked up and delivered?
MOVILIM Transport LLC. has terminals available across the country (check with your customer service representative to find out if a convenient terminal is available in your area). You can choose to either 1) drop off and/or pick up your vehicle at your earliest convenience at one of these terminals or 2) have your vehicle dropped off and/or picked up at a designation of your choosing, such as your home or office.

Do I have to be present when my vehicle is picked up and/or dropped off?
Yes
. Either you or a designated/authorized person on your behalf, must be present at the pick up and delivery. Upon pick up an inspection is performed by the driver and must be signed for by the owner or an authorized person. Additionally, upon delivery the car is not released until it is inspected for damage and signed for by the owner (or their authorized representative).

How do I prepare my vehicle for shipping?
Please have no more than 1/4 tank of fuel (the carriers really appreciate the savings in gross vehicle weight), remove all personal items from vehicle, repair any chips or cracks, remove any added equipment, and make sure your vehicle is prepared for changing weather conditions. For additional tips, your customer service representative will provide you with a complete list prior to shipping.

What is door-to-door versus terminal-to-terminal service?
With door-to-door service the driver of the auto transport carrier will meet you as close to your front door as possible for pick-up and delivery. Whereas with terminal-to-terminal service customers have the option of parking their vehicle at a nearby terminal and having the vehicle delivered to a terminal at the destination. You may also choose a combination of the two.
